The LASER 2019 lectures run over 7 days, from Sunday, 2 June 2019 to Saturday 8 June 2019. Participants should arrive on Saturday, June 1 and depart on Sunday, June 9. A transfer by bus from Pisa and back is organized on these dates (see here for details).
The registration fees (without accommodation) are:
- Full-time PhD students: EUR 830
- Academic (postdocs, researchers and professors): EUR 1100
- Industry: EUR 1300
The registration fee covers participation in all lectures and other activities of the summer school, as well as course materials, excursions, and the conference dinner.
These fees are valid for registrations received and paid by May 31 2019.
Cancellation policy: Substitutions are possible at any time; cancellations received by April 30, 2019 will be liable of a 50% penalty; after this date, there will be no refund.
All participants must obtain accommodation through the school. Cheaper accommodations in a smaller hotel (“annex”) close to the main hotel are available. The annex has double rooms only. It is possible to book a single occupancy in the annex. Breakfasts, dinners, and all other activities will take place for everybody in the main hotel.
The accommodation fees are (for the whole week, including breakfasts and dinners):
- Double occupancy in annex: EUR 800 for each person – you will share the room with another participant (you can request a particular roommate).
- Double occupancy in main hotel: EUR 1000 for each person – you will share the room with another participant (you can request a particular roommate).
- Single room in annex: EUR 1100
- Single room in main hotel: EUR 1350
The school takes place in Hotel del Golfo. Accommodation includes eight nights in Hotel del Golfo, with breakfasts and dinners. Other expenses such as drinks, telephone etc. are extra and will be charged directly by the hotel. For extra night stays or accompanying persons (subject to availability of rooms), please contact the school organizers.
CERTIFICATES OF ATTENDANCE
Participants having successfully completed the program will receive a certificate of attendance. No exam or grading will be provided. Student participants who wish to obtain course credits are encouraged to do so by writing a report on the School for their institution. Our estimate of the credit value of successful completion of the School is 3 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) points.
